Team Massi Tactic 2021

Tactic have supported local UCI Continental women’s team Massi-Tactic since their inception in 2019. Now in their third year, the team is ready to take on the 2021 season after a fraught 2020 which saw the team unable to race for much of the year.

With some riders retiring, and others moving on to pastures new, it fell to the team to find some new riders for 2021. Massi-Tactic have five new signings for this season; former Norweigan national champion Vita Heine, experienced British rider Emma Grant, Slovenian climber Špela Kern, 23 year-old Canadian sprinter Olivia Baril, and Maaike Coljé of the Netherlands.

With a team comprised of twelve riders from seven nations (including the Paraguay national champion, Agua Marina Espínola) and an age range from 19 to 36, Massi-Tactic have a broad spectrum of experience from developing riders to those with decades of racing behind them.

As has been the case for the past two years the team will begin their season in Valencia, with the Vuelta CV Femmes one-day race on the 7th February followed by the Setmana Ciclista Valenciana stage race - which this year has been upgraded to 2.1 meaning that some of the biggest teams will be in attendance - from the 18th - 21st February.

With the new season the team also have a new kit design. The blue theme remains but this year the colour is bolder and brighter with a more striking pattern on the front of the jersey which repeats on the leg of the shorts too. In 2021 the team will hope to stand out for more than just their clothing, but it’s a start.
